I am messing around with a cobalt server and installing mysql
to be the database for php. I have installed mysql but php
doesn't look like it was configured with mysql. I tried to do
a quick connection and got this message.

*******************
Error
MySQL said:

MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/tmp/mysql.sock' (111)
*******************

Is this because php was not configured with mysql? If so is
there a way to add mysql support? I know redhat has the rpm
php-mysql is there something similar for cobalt?
Thank You,
Jason
