Well, it *did* close the gap by a couple of hundred connections :-) I honestly have no idea what could cause this. I wouldn't immediately think of a leak in MySQL as those are system tools that *should* check the same location for their stats. Most peculiar.
I seem to remember you running mostly redhat systems, maybe poke their support? Also, it may be a bit too panicky, but when system tools report such wildly differing numbers I involuntarily start reaching for the rootkit scanners. ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Reindl Harald" <h.rei...@thelounge.net> > To: mysql@lists.mysql.com > Sent: Monday, 27 February, 2012 1:37:26 PM > Subject: Re: file descriptor leak? > > lsof -n| grep '^mysqld' | grep ESTABLISHED | wc -l; netstat -n | > grep mysql | grep VERBUNDEN | wc -l > 1926 > 18 > -- Bier met grenadyn Is als mosterd by den wyn Sy die't drinkt, is eene kwezel Hy die't drinkt, is ras een ezel -- MySQL General Mailing List For list archives: http://lists.mysql.com/mysql To unsubscribe: http://lists.mysql.com/mysql
