SELECT tablename.fieldname
FROM dim
LEFT JOIN tablename ON tablename.fieldname = dim
WHERE tablename.fieldname IS NULL;


If this is not what intended, I'd suggest you to spend a little more
effort in formulating a more clear question, maybe with an example.
