I am trying to relocate MySQL and a database to another hard drive on the same system. According to this page, http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/upgrading-to-arch.html, I get the impression that I should be able to do this by copying the data files to the new MySQL installation. However, that doesn't seem to be sufficient as MySQL does not "see" the database that was copied over.
