Would someone briefly explain to me how MySQL uses threading in a
multi-processor environment?
Currently I have a Dual 1gHz processor box running RedHat 7.1 with the smp
kernel. Does this automatically take care of things? Is mysql parallelized
at all, or is this inherent in the threading? Insofar as optimization, are
there any manual things I have to do to optimize mysql for a dual processor
box?
This is kind of a new topic for me so my apologies if I have missed the
obvious somehow.
Thanks!
Bryan
