I have figured my problem out. I was trying to do too much through phpMyAdmin. I was able to get the data into the db by doing '/usr/bin/mysql -u root -p test_cm_xoops < xoops_users2', which worked flawlessly. Now that I have that figured out, I am on my way to the fun tedious part of changing the field names.
