James, just doing a little reasonability testing of your requirement
statement. The rules as you state them would result in:
A. A task with no start date and no due date will never appear in this view.
B. A task with a due date in the next 7 days will appear in the view even
if the task has already been marked complete.
If you agree with both of these, the view is easily built. If you disagree,
just state specifically how you would rather see it work.
Also, how would you like to see the view sorted? Maybe ascending due date?
