You cannot make MLO compute recurrence without a due date but you can
put the due date so far in the future that it does not matter. so, for
example, you could set the task up with a daily recurrence 20,007 days
after completion, with a locked lead time of 20,000 days. If you water
the flowers today and mark the task complete it will create a new
occurrence with a start date of today + 7 days and a due date sometime
around the year 2072. You can just ignore the due date, the task will
never come due.

Hi,
I'd like that too.
Also, I'd like the new start date to be, not "today+7", but "completion date
+7".
