I usually read my messages at home from my laptop. However, I want to see urgent messages on my mobile phone when I am not at home. At the mobile I have got another email address. Is it possible to have incoming messages automatically copied to another email address?
I'm using mbox format on my desktop which is where my mail is delivered to. In my home directory I use a ".forward" file which currently contains only "|/usr/bin/procmail". Procmail then distributes to several mailboxes. However it could also forward the message to another email address. You are probably not using procmail, so just the .forward file may suffice. Something like this: OtherUser@OtherEmailAddress /home/ulrich/<YourInBox> That would forward a copy to your phone email address and then deposit another copy in your inbox Probably not applicable if you are using IMAP. -- Jon H.
