Is the configuration variable called "markers" what you're looking
for? Quoting from the manual:

   markers
   Type: boolean
   Default: yes

   Controls the display of wrapped lines in the internal pager.
   If set, a “+” marker is displayed at the beginning of wrapped
   lines.
