macro does not work when mailbox opened read-only

Hello,

I have custom macro "q" for exit:

  macro  index  q  "<sync-mailbox>;<exit>"

but when I open mailbox read-only, I am not able to exit from mutt:

  Mailbox is read-only.

the key "q' does not work.

is there any workaround to solve this?
