This release fixes a regression from the 1.14.3 release. Encryption settings are no longer checked when using $tunnel to connect to a preauthenticated IMAP server.
After some discussion on mutt-dev, this release changes to only consult $ssl_force_tls in response to a "normal" (non-tunneled) unencrypted preauthenticated IMAP connection. Please see <http://www.mutt.org/doc/manual/#ssl> for more details about STARTTLS, $ssl_force_tls, and $tunnel.
Thanks to everyone who provided feedback for the past few releases, and helped me with the 1.14.3 regression.
