In short, yes. I use set record="!" in my .muttrc, so that (most) messages I send are saved into my inbox. (The inbox is usually, but not always, the folder from which I'm sending the mail; if I sent from elsewhere, and $save_name doesn't set the Fcc automatically for me, I either manually change the Fcc before sending, or save the message out of my inbox later.)
