If all you need is an occasional reminder of which key is for which account, typing ? will show the help menu for the current screen. The help menu includes user-defined bindings and macros. The only other way I can think of to display a custom line on the screen is to use the status line and the 'status_format' variable. Fitting your function key operations on that line could be a tight squeeze, though, unless you use a wide terminal.
