I'd recommend reading up on the stuff you copy over in man muttrc so you
don't end up "cargo culting" your configuration and not knowing what
command is responsible for which setting.

In addition to both the manual and the Wiki, although it really hasn't
aged well, I found My first mutt [1] to be a pretty good read when I
first came upon it.  There's a ton of information on the Web but it'll
take some manual labour to wade through all of it.

You'll have to take different time zones, work schedules and private
life into consideration.

The most common questions are bound to have been answered before so it's
always good to have a look/search in the mailing list archives [2]
