just as follow up, i'm using procmail together with dovecot lda to deliver mail into mail $HOME directory in a maildir name ~/.maildir
Here is a snippet of the recipies for procmail that I use should it help. It mean my spoolfile is not the system default under /var The $DELIVER variable is defined at the top of my procmailrc: ...
