I do the same based on line length.  I used to wrap at so many chars less
than the window width but with displays so large now that doesn't work so
well.

Firefox is more intelligent than it used to be.  I have found that just
cursor selecting a url and pasting to firefox, firefox will disregard the
spaces, %20, and provide the proper site.
