Yes I guess I can understand. Perhaps, then, one could set their MTA to bcc 
mails sent out. MDA can then filter and put them somewhere useful for futire 
reference. I personally don't know of a way to achieve that with a standard 
mutt installation. You could patch the source code, etc.
