while "apparrently?" getting mutt to send ssl smtp, for fastmail, I found that if you add an --enable- or --with- varriable to the configure command line then some other defaults are no longer included. so in adding --enable-smtp I lost imap and ssl apparrently.
so now that I've enabled and with(ed) everything back in, is there a better way than the command line of ./configure to do this so that if I have to add yet something else I will not have to remember to include all the earlier stuff? Thanks for helping with what may well be obvious but I often miss the obvious. tom Fowle
