I've been running mutt on a remote ISP via ssh for several years with
a fully configured muttrc. All of the ISP's servers were recently attacked
through its shell, and now the admin has separated its mail server from
everything else. All mail access is now via IMAP.

This has broken several things in my muttrc. I'm slowly going through and
fixing things, but I'm still a bit unfamiliar with IMAP, so several
problems linger, though the basic setup is working.

One problem is that where I normally have the number of lines per message
displayed in the index (i.e., the "76" in the sample index line below),

  74 + 12/11/11 auto-conf...@amazon.co 76 Your Order with Amazon.com

I now get the byte number: "3.8K". But when I open the message, view it in
the pager, then close it, coming back to the index, the byte number has
changed to the lines number (76), which I'd like to have there all the
time.

I have the following in my muttrc:

# Format of the lines in the index:
  set index_format="%4C %Z %[%d] %-20.20n %?l?%4l&%4c? %s %H"

Also, my folder_format setting isn't being read at all:

# Format of the folder-browser display:
  set folder_format=" %N %d %f %> %s %2l %F %-8.8u %-8.8g "

Any tips appreciated.
