Unless you get it to cache translations:-) For example via a wrapper script like this one: http://www.cskk.ezoshosting.com/cs/css/bin/cache-transform which would be invoked like this: cache-transform translate-ne-en wget-to-fetch-translation-of-stdin The wget incantation will need some work, but it will retrieve the cached translation text if handed the same input text, so revisiting an on-the-fly-translation message should become cheaper.
