Thanks. Tried that and it returned Char = A, Oktal = 101, Dezimal = 65 Tried \101 then and also \65, but none of them worked. I just get "key not bound". Seems this is not possible, at least not in screen. Thanks anyway and for pointing me at what-key - seems pretty useful. Cheers, Sven
