First of all, that only works if you have $auto_tag set. Otherwise the
<toggle-new> function won't apply to all the tagged messages. The way
to do it that will work no matter your configuration and no matter
whether there are any new messages is this:
<untag-pattern>~T<enter><tag-pattern>~N<enter><tag-prefix-cond><toggle-new><untag-pattern>~T<enter>
