Hi Chris, Yes, that works fine. In fact, the query function _does_ work as well for non-ASCII symbols. I cannot reproduce the problem any more. I've got no idea now what I did wrong in the past when it did not seem to work. Very strange. Thank you very much. mutt is really, really great! Harald
