I removed the whitespaces after the backslashes and it works now. it was an error while pasting. I want to thank you for the package muttils. viewhtmlmsg is exactly what I was looking for. I almost gave up on mutt because of that missing functionality. Even the other scripts like urlpager are cool and I've started using them.
