I spent some time tracking down the cause of this problem. I'd appreciate it if some people could test the patch at http://www.cs.hmc.edu/~me/mutt/patch-1.5-me.color_eol.1 Also, if some people using SLang could also test it to make sure that it doesn't break anything, that would be great. I tested it myself and it worked ok with both ncurses and slang, but its always good to get it tested in other environments.
