Correct. But allthough somebody knows your ID this isn't a
great security hole (except somebody knows your passphrase).
In fact, this discussion is may become time consuming, so I
won't start it.

I just don't store anything important where I'm not root and
thus don't need encryption (allthough root may gain your
passphrase and read, too). I only encrypt them before
they're archived on CD.

Btw, what about non-signed and non-encrypted mail if the
above is set? Is it possible to send a ``clean'' mail to
someone while the saved copy is encrypted with the user's
key?
