I'm quite happy with pushing/execing a "collapse all" when I enter a
folder, turning on uncollapse_jump, and letting mutt uncollapse a thread
when a new message arrives.  If I have time to catch up on a thread that
had new messages in it when I entered the folder, then hitting return on
the parent will take me straight to the new message, while tab will take
me to the next thread with new messages if I don't know where it is.
