That's the point, and you're being silly. His recollection is that the lack of a signature caused mutt to apparently hang when opening a message for editing, and putting in a sig file fixed things. In the face of the statement that a sig file alone, rather than a sig pipe, could not cause that problem, he tried to duplicate the problem from what he remembered of the circumstances; his surprise at the lack of a problem is certainly understandable. Pat, if it now works for you and you're happy to move on, then move on. If not, then tell us whether or not you edited your muttrc file in the course of this adventure and if, just possibly, you might have had a | at the end of your sig def even if you hadn't intended to use sigrot itself. As you've seen, a defined-but-not-present signature file shouldn't cause mutt any problems, so your statements *do* appear contradictory. I don't have to spend the time worrying about it if you don't want to, though. % % Makes you wonder how you solve % problems with people... This is a ridiculous statement, though there's a very strong voice in my head advocating solving this silly attribution and indent problem using similar methods... % % Sven :-D -- David T-G * It's easier to fight for one's principles (play) [EMAIL PROTECTED] * than to live up to them. -- fortune cookie (work) [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.justpickone.org/davidtg/ Shpx gur Pbzzhavpngvbaf Qrprapl Npg!
