Ahh, so that's what did it. I set forward_decode and it gives me the
WYSIWYG-like behavior you describe below.

Now, I don't know if I'm the best person to give an opinion about this.
I'm /still/ deciphering all of the docs. I suspect it'll take quite
a while. (Surely this is the case for the majority? If not I'll feel
really stupid. :-))
