what does your postconf -n output look like? what happens in your logs if you do: /usr/sbin/sendmail -t From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: test blah ^D is there anything in your logs after you try to send mail from mutt? does sending a message appear to succeed? kmail and sylpheed might be using SMTP to send mail, whereas mutt doesn't speak SMTP and it's using the sendmail command. post some logs. w
