I think it could be done.

Just let procmail call a script, which filters the message and mails
it back to the sender (via, for example, sendmail).

The problem is if you can automate the remove of the hyphen, it
depends where it occurs, because I think you don't want to remove all
hyphens, so you have to remove the correct one.
