I would like to suggest that people judiciously edit the text to which they are replying and remove unnecessary sentences. I'm seeing a lot of messages which I have to scroll down a ways on my 80x24 term before I can see the text of the message, and its quite annoying. If you are going to inline your comments, PLEASE edit what you are replying to so it is concise. If you don't its worse than when someone quotes an entire message and puts their response at the top. At least its easier to read then!
