I usually do things like this: cd $HOME/Mail for folder in *; do mutt -f "=$folder" -e "push '<tag-pattern>~d >2s !~F<enter><delete-pattern>~T<enter><sync-mailbox>y<exit>'" done YMMV, depending on the settings of certain variables.
