The problem that I see with lynx, w3m and links is that the -dump output they produce is not so suited for plain text reading. For one thing, all normal <P>...</P> paragraph text is indented several spaces. If you are looking at an HTML message that uses tables to format things (rather than using tables to tabulate data), you DON'T want table support when it gets converted to text. What is this "html2text" program that you are using?
