Welcome! % past four years. I'm doing some linux driver work now, and I'm sick of % worrying about and dealing with potential Outlook related viruses (and I % hate using the mouse for anything), so I decided to switch to text-based % email. Good move :-) % % Mutt is working fine for me, but there are a few things that I'd like to % make easier that I haven't been able to figure out. % % Is there an easy way to move a message to another mail folder? All I've % been able to do is copy it to the other mail folder, then delete it. Is % there a built-in move? Use 's'ave instead of 'c'opy; that will do the copy and delete in one step. % % What about moving/copying multiple messages all at once? Can I select or % tag multiple messages then move them to another folder? Yep; tag with 't' (or 'T') and prefix your command (move, save, whatever) with ';' to operate on multiple messages. See the manual :-) % % When I started using mutt, I just accepted the default mail folder type. % But, I like the idea of these new formats that keep the messages in % independent files. How can I make mutt create a new folder using the MH % or Maildir formats? (Currently using sendmail - do I need to switch to % Qmail?) Set your $mailbox_type (or something close to that). All of these are answered in the manual -- if you know where to look :-) Be pretty generous with your search terms and you'll usually find what you need. % % Thanks, % -Chris :-D -- David T-G * It's easier to fight for one's principles (play) [EMAIL PROTECTED] * than to live up to them. -- fortune cookie (work) [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.justpickone.org/davidtg/ Shpx gur Pbzzhavpngvbaf Qrprapl Npg!
