source $HOME/.mutt/muttrc push <display-message> (modified, perhaps, for your muttrc location) and then calling rxvt and mutt like rxvt -geom 80x82 -e mutt -F /path/to/test/muttrc -f '~/Mail/Inbox' to see what happens?
