i'm sorry if i'm missing something obvious, but since installing 1.3.24,
the trees that indicate threads are showing up a bit funny.  each '-' is
preceeded with a question mark.  is this a bug, or is there something
else wrong?

ie:
->
now appears as:
?->

--->
now appears as:
?-?-?->

this happens with ascii_chars set and with it unset.

i tried a couple different termcap entries....

i'm using Eterm (checked in xterm as well and got the same response).

i had originally tried patching mutt with a couple of usual patches, but
i tried compiling it without them and had the same results.

this is on a debian linux machine (i'm viewing it on a FreeBSD machine).
