What is it that you want to happen? I'm not sure you'll find a useful compromise. You can bind "c" like this: macro index c "<change-folder><bol>=<eol>" "Change folder" That should insert "=" at the beginning of the buffer without erasing the buffer, but I'm not sure that you'll find it satisying. -- -D.
