I recently installes mutt 1.3.12 from SuSE 7.1. Now, whenever I
fetch my mail from our POP3 server, I get this message and a beep
before the mail is read:

  APOP authentication failed.

I can't find anything in the documentation about APOP except

  manual-1.2.5-de.txt:

CRAM-MD5 Authentifizierung (dem IMAP-Gegenstück von APOP) am IMAP-

Is there any way to disable APOP authentication, preferrably
without downgrading mutt, recompiling or using fetchmail? Config
info attached.
