Thanks for all the replies. When I have more time I'll go over them in
detail. I just want to be able to read encrypted mails that I have sent
in the past.
The reason I asked this question was because I had seen a reference to
it here

which is one of the links off of the Mutt home page so I thought it
would be reliable. It looked like a simple setting in the .muttrc.
I'm still waiting to get a response from Sven directly to see what the
reference is all about and either correct it or remove it so others like
myself don't get confused and waste everybody's time.
