I'm not sure, but the %?p?-? looks like a Mutt expansion string.
If %p is defined (has a non-empty value), it will be used. If not,
then the string "-" is used instead.
If that's true, then this is Mutt-specific and cannot be used outside
of Mutt (eg. in a mailcap file).
