First of all this is a mailfolder in mbox format - a file. $mbox
controlls where read mail will be saved to. You'll want to set
mbox="~/mail/inbox" or something.

Where folders are created is controlled by the $folder variable it
defaults to '~/Mail'. Set folder="~/mail" will do it for you.
