I've asked the list for help with this once before - here's hoping I can do a better job of explaining it this time... Ever since I upgraded from 0.95.1 to 1.2.*, I've been seeing problems with .lock files being left around in my ~/Mail directory when I s)ave or C)opy messages into a mbox folder. This does not always occur, but rather seems dependant on the size of the folder in question. Folders that are smaller than about 2k usually (but not always) leave a .lock file; while bigger folders usually don't. The behavior seems very non-deterministic: I've seen folders as small as 1890 bytes that didn't have a stale lock file, and as big as 4348 bytes that did. I've been frustrated by this for months and am still no closer to understanding the problem. Has anyone seen anything like this before?
