Hi, folks --
I'm on a few of those god-forsaken mailing lists which put [list-name]
at the head of their subjects, which only eats up real estate. I [now]
realize that I could use procmail to not only sort these messages when
they come in but also strip that out [thanks to some prior discussion
here; thanks, list!] but prefer to leave the actual email unchanged since
it will then look "right" when replying to the list.
Is there, then, a way that I can specify my index_format so that I print
only part of the Subject: line -- like maybe
set index_format="%4C %Z %{%b %d} ... %s/\[list-name\] // ...
or so? I know that this is reaching, but it *is* at least somewhat on
topic :-)
I also realize that I could use formail to create an X-Label: header that
has the modified Subject: and then display that in my index, but that
eats up my label header and I'd rather not do that.
TIA & HAND
:-D
