Yep - I run fetchmail with procmail as the mda (qmail / maildir users consider
maildrop)

something like:

defaults
forcecr
poll pop.gmx.net with proto pop3 no dns
user 'foo' with pass bar mda "sed -e '1s/^\t/Received: /'| formail |/usr/bin/procmail 
-d mallet"
fetchall
