tlr has already explained this - but I'd advise against using .sig files
when you mail abuse / postmaster addresses.
Simple reason is, such mails often get forwarded to the spammer as the
reason why his account is getting killed - and if the abuse desk guy
forgets to trim your .sig, the spammer gets it and may mailbomb you ...
Speaking as an abuse desk guy I can assure you that this is quite possible
