% Hello Folks,
%
% I make backup of e-mail with this at procmailrc:
Hmmm... This looks suspiciously like the stock backup recipe, which
deals with mbox-format folders at one message per box...
%
% :0 c:
% ${BACKUP_DIR}
I don't nkow much about MH, but I thikn you need to append a trailing /
on this. Other MH gurus will probably be able to tell you more...
% :0 ic
% | cd ${BACKUP_DIR} && rm -f dummy `ls -t msg.* | sed -e 1,${MAXBACKUP}d`
Yep; this same grammar works for me -- with mbox files. Dunno about
MH...
%
% that's supposed to be an MH folder, procmail delivers to it as it is an
% MH folder but when I try to open it from within mutt it shows the folder
Are you sure it's really being delivered as MH instead of mbox?
% as empty. I've created an empty file ${BACKUP_DIR}/.xmhcache but it
% didin't help. I'm using qmail here.
Dunno about either of those...
%
% My question is: What I could do to make mutt open this as a regular MH
% folder???
Here's the meat of the answer: mutt just opens the folders based on what
they are, and you don't have to tell it anything. So My guess is that
it's *not* really an MH folder with MH messages in it, and that's why
mutt doesn't show anything.
Here's where we get to the "send us more detail" question of such
problems :-)
