Well, I always thought it was straightforward, but the question has come
up many times before.

To move from one mailbox to another (net total the same number of
messages across both mailboxes), "s"ave them (perhaps by tagging a bunch
and using the tag-prefix, bound by default to ";"); they will be marked
for deletion in the source mailbox, and "q"uitting, "c"hanging to another
mailbox, or syncing with "$" will clear them out.

To copy from one mailbox to another (net total twice the number of
messages across both mailboxes), "c"opy them instead (perhaps still
tagged).
