It is very likely that you're not telling Mutt where it should be
looking for new mail.

If you know your incoming mail folder's location, you can test things
by starting Mutt from the command line with:

  mutt -f /path/to/your/incoming/folder

If you see your incoming emails then, it's only a matter of configuring
the default location.

If you don't see the emails, then something is wrong, but what that
might be is very difficult to guess without more details.

If you don't know the location where they are going, find out, then
start from the beginning. :-)
